The Mustang Girls Softball Team will host a Carwash Fundraiser on Saturday, February 18, from 8:00-1:00 at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Forrest City. Donations are accepted. All proceeds will go to buying the team's softball uniforms.

Driver's License Class
Classes for a Driver's License are held each Thursday at the Lee Co. Courthouse. The written exam is given at 1:00 p.m., and the driving portion is at 9 a.m.
Chili Day Fundraiser
Newcastle Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will have its annual Chili Day Fundraiser on Friday, February 24, from 10:30-7:00 at First Baptist Church, 507 N. Rosser St., in Forrest City. Historical Scavenger Hunt
The Delta Cultural Center will host a Historical Scavenger Hunt to finish out its month-long Delta Days 2017: Voices from the Delta events. The scavenger hunt will be hosted on Saturday, February 25, from 11:00-12:45. There will be a brief orientation, and then you will be sent to different venues looking for clues. Crowley's Ridge Parkway Clean-Up
Mississippi River State Park will host the Crowley's Ridge Parkway Clean-Up on Saturday, February 25, from 10:00-noon. They will be cleaning up the roadside along the Crowley's Ridge Parkway from Hwy 242 to the Storm Creek Lake Boat Ramp. Pushing the Limits Program
Forrest City Public Library and SFC 4-H is teaming up for a Pushing the Limits Program on Monday, February 27, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the library. Texas Hold'em Tournament
Special Olympics Arkansas Area 8 and Forrest City Junior Auxiliary will host a Texas Hold'em Tournament on Tuesday, February 28, at 6:00 p.m. at Mallard's Grill in Forrest City. Registration for this event will begin at 5:00 p.m. the same day. There is a $75 buy in and $30 re-buys in the first three rounds of the tournament. The final table of players will be awarded prizes. Forrest City Landfill will be giving away mulch on Saturday, March 4, from 8:00-noon. Free mulch is given away the first Saturday of every month, weather permitting.

Sistas Support Group

Southern Women's Show
The Southern Women's Show is coming to the Agricenter in Germantown, TN, on Friday, March 10, from 10:00-8:00, Saturday, March 11, from 10:00-7:00 and Sunday, March 12, from 11:00-6:00. Citizen of the Year Applications
Forrest City Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for Citizen of the Year. The nominee must be proven to be well-rounded and have an active interest in the betterment and improvement of the Forrest City/ St. Francis County community. Annual Glo 5K
Delta Beta Sigma is hosting their annual glo 5K on Friday, March 17, at 6:00 p.m. along Forrest Street. They will be glowing green in the spirit of St. Patrick's day. Ridgecrest Country Club in Forrest City is hosting a gun raffle for a Mossberg 835 shotgun with two barrels, one for turkey hunting and the other for duck hunting. Youth Baseball and Softball Registration
Registration is underway for the Forrest City Recreation Department Youth Baseball and Softball League programs. Fees to register are $20 if you live inside city limits and $25 if you live outside of them. This is for boys aged four to fifteen years old and girls aged four to sixteen years old. Youth Art Competition
The Delta Cultural Center is taking entries for the
annual Blues Heritage Youth Art Competition. Students are encouraged to
enter their art work that goes along with this year's theme "Old Time
Blues." Requirements are as follows:
--Must be in Elementary, Middle or High School
--Any art medium is acceptable
--Must be standard poster size, with a minimum size of 22" X 14"
Winners will be announced at the King Biscuit Blues Festival on Tuesday, October 3, and the art pieces will be put on display at the Delta Cultural Center's Depot throughout the month of October.
